Dear bhagavathas,

 

In an earlier posting announcing this weekend's upanyasam, I had incorrectly

identified the author

of 'paRpamenthigazh' composition on emberumAnAr as thiruvarangathu Araiyar

swamy. That wonderful poetry on emberumAnAr was composed by Embaar, one of

emberumAnAr's foremost disciples.

 

Embaar, who also went by the name Sri Govinda bhattar, was the Acharyan for

swamy parAsara bhaTTar and is saluted as 'rAmAnuja padacchAya' by swamy

parAsara bhaTTar.

 

I apologize for the error and any ensuing consternation it may have caused.
