adiyEn is writing this on behalf of Sri Ahobila Matam in

consultation with Sri Rajaji, and Sri Srini Kuthalam.

It is an unique honor to announce the release of

Kanninun Siruththambu CD set by Srimad Azhagiya Singar

on this auspicious day of Sri Madhurakavi Azhvar's

thirunakshatram.

 

As many of you already are aware, Sri. Srini Kuthalam has

completed the great Kainkaryam of producing the Kanninun

Siruththambu upanyasam by Srimad Azhagiya Singar into

audio CDs. Srimad Azhagiya Singar wanted us to record

an introductory Sri Mukham for this CD set. For one

reason or another we were unable to get the recording

done. The reason for the obstacles became evident today.

We do believe it is a blessing directly from Sri Madurakavi.

The Azhvar wanted the Sri Mukham to be recorded on His

Thirunakshthram day, not before. This morning we recorded

the Sri Mukham by Srimad Azhagiya Singar and the set is now

ready for release. There is nothing more auspicious than to

have recorded the Sri Mukham for Kanninun Siruththambu upanyasam

CDs on the day of Sri Madhurakavi Azhvar's thirunakshatram.

The entire upanyasam runs for more then 40 hours. After a lot

of consultations, Sri Srini Kuthalam has prepared three different

versions of the upanyasam keeping in mind the length of upanyasam

and the listening convenience of sishyas.

 

Version 1: Deluxe Version ($100 per set)

This is an unabridged version including all the Q/A at

the end of each session. This available in regular audio

CD and can be played in any audio CD player. The set

contains 30 CDs.

 

Version 2: MP3 Version, ($75 per set)

This is also an unabridged version like the Deluxe version.

This version comes in just 5 CDs. However, this can be

played only in players capable of playing MP3 CDs.

 

Version 3: Standard Version, ($85 per set)

This is an edited version. This version contains the entire

upanyasam, but the Q/A have been deleted. This set contains

25 CDs and can be played in any audio CD player.

 

A word about cost. We request all the sishyas to note that

the production of so many CDs for each set is expensive.

We have tried to keep the cost down by searching for inexpensive

reproduction, printing, etc.

 

Since reproduction is a major cost item we would like to produce

copies based only on firm orders. With this e-mail we request

you to place your order. We will be taking orders for the next

two weeks. The accumulated orders will then be processed and it

may take about 1 month to get the copies made and shipped. We

request all the sishyas to bear with us.
