Guest guest
Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe Ramanujaya namaha Sri Vara Vara munaye Namaha SRI ALAVANDAR VAIBHAVAM-5 Aalavandar and his sishyas reached the place where kurugaikAvalappan was in yOgam. Not wanting to disturb him from his samAdhi state, they were extra cautious to, not to sneeze or cough or even make slightest of the sound due to footsteps and hid themselves behind a wall. After sometime, appan got out of his yOgam and asked, “Is there anyone over here who belongs to chottai kulam (Acharya kulam)? Hearing this Alavandar came forward and said “adiyen yamunai thuraivar here” and fell in the feet of appan. Then yamunai thuraivar surprisingly asked appan “how you came to know that we were here, when we were hiding behind a wall”? For this appan replied, “when I and emperuman were deeply involved in our anubhavams, he was least perturbed, even when piratti approached him with love. But the same sarvEswaran tried to see someone, pressing my shoulders, three or four times”. Then I came to a conclusion that somebody from chottai kulam must be present over here. Alavandar was astonished by this reply and with great respects, requested appan to give him the yoga rahasyam. Appan also accepted to teach him the same, but at a later time, before he leaves this body and this world (sarErAvasanam). He also told Aalavandar that, the next pushya maasam, gurupushya yogam, and Abhijinmuhurtham would be the date of his departure from this samsaric world. Not stopping with this, he also gave this in writing and told him to come before the said date. Accepting this, Alavandar returned back to Srirangam (Periya Kovil) Then on a day of thiruvadhyayanam of Namperumal, while listening to thiruvadhyayanam, Azhwar thiruvaranga perumal arayar recited and acted the verses from ThiruvAimozhi starting with “kedum Edar”. Arayar looked into the face of Alavandar and repeated the line “nadaminO namargallulleer nAmmumakkariyach chonnOm” (Start now! I am saying for you to understand) number of times. Alavandar on listening to this thought that, it is high time for him to leave for Anandapuram, to have the darshan of emperuman, as per the wish of Azhwar. Hence he sought the permission from Namperumal and left for Thiruvanandapuram. He also instructed DeivavAri Aandaan to be the in charge until his return. Aalavandaar thereby reached thiruvanandapuram and had good darshan of emperuman and stayed there doing service to emperuman (“padamudai aravil palli payindra anandapuraththu ammAn”). Meanwhile, one fine day he asked his shisyas to get the document given by kurugaikAvalappan specifying his departure from this samsAra mandalam and to his surprise and sorrow found the day on the document to be that day. He was shock struck and felt bad that he didn’t have a pushpaka vimAnam(today’s flight) to fly to see appan breathe his last and also get the yoga rahasyam from him.
