Guest guest
SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAH APPANTHIRUVADIGALE SARANAM. Dear Baghavathas, Accept my pranam Smt. Gita has chosen a nice subject and has presented it very well ‘Ythiraja Vimsati”. is a very good model stotra of ‘Naichyanusandhanam” Almost all the slokas contain the name of ‘Yatiraja’ as in the case of Ramanuja Nooranthadhi. The slokas are in praise of Ramanuja and as the Divyathampathi SriRenganayki and Sri Renganathatha bless him he can grant his requests. A question may arise. Sri. Manavalamamunigal’s Acharya is Thiruvaimozhi pillai and his abhimanam should be towards him. Then why should he render a stotra on Sri.Ramanuja? The answer to this question is known to all of us.. Sri. Manavalamamunigal was deeply in love with Sri. Ramnuja and Thiruvaimozhi. He was entrusted with the work of construction of the temple for Sri. Ramanuja at Alvar thirunagari and village Ramanuja chatur vedhi mangalam by his Acharya Thiruvaimozhi Pillai. He was also instructed by his Acharya that he should learn Sreebhashya’; but, should spend his time in propagation of Bhagavat Vishayam. So, he fulfilled his Acharya’desire and his ‘abhimanam’ was expressed in this way. He got the name “Yatheenthra Pravanar’ also. One more explanation can also be offered. Let us consider Sreevachanabhooshana sreesuktis Sutra1. VEDHARTHA MARUTHIYIDUVATHU SMRUTHI ITHIHASA PURANANKALALE’ (The meaning of Vedas can be determined by Smruthi, Ithihasam and Puranams ). Sutra 447. ‘ACHARYABHIMANAME UTTARAKAM’ (Being dear to Acharya and gaining his love(abhimanam) is the way for salvation. Sutra461. ACHARYABHIMANAM THAN PRAPATTI POLE UPAYANDHARANKALUKKU ANGAMAYEE SWATHANTHARAMYIRUKKUM’. Sutra 462. BAHKTI YILE ASAKTHANUKKU PRAPATTI; PRAPATTIYILE ASAKTHANUKKU ITHU. Sutra 463. ITHU PRATHAMAM SWAROOPATHAI PALLAVIDHAMAKKUM. PINPU PUSHPITHAMAKKUM. ANANTHARAM PALAPARYANTHAMAKKUM; (Karma Gna Bhakti are considered as lesser forms of ways for salvation Those who consider Bhakti upaya is difficult and also against the very nature of “Jeeva swaroopam” can follow Prapatti Deep devotion and confidence is required for Prapatti. Those who cannot afford this can take shelter under “ACHARYABHIMANAM” This( ACHARYABHIMANAM) in the first place open out the bud and make it into flower and finally make it to yield fruits..). In short ,Sreevachanabhooshanam starts with the role exploring ‘Vedas’ and concludes with ending in following the footsteps of Acharya. This is called SARAMANISHTAI” or ‘Final observance.’ Follow the Acharya; be faith full to him. Love him dearly and gain his love and confidence. Follow his advices and finish his commands.. He will take care of you. This is the ‘Sarama Nishtai Manavalamamunigal has followed the instructions of his Acharya Thiruvaimaozhipillai and has shown his Abhimanam by Stotras This is not a new way. Sri Ramanuja’s first Acharya is Periya Nambikal who has rendered ‘ Pancha samaskaram’ to him. The acharya of Periya Nambi is Sri. Alavandar. His desire was to bring sri. Ramanuja in the mainstream of Srivaishnavam and to make him to take the leadership. All other sishyas of Sri Alavandar, Thirukkoshtiyur Nambi etc.,also followed the wish of their Acharya.. Thus they showed their Abhimanams.. Sri Alavandar also completed his part or commitment to Sriman Natha munikal. Thus, all Acharyas never considered themselves as Acharyas, but, sishyas of their acharyas and thus kept the line well guarded.( refer to Sutra.309 of SVB) This is Acharyabhimanam.
