Sri:

Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama:

Sri Pillai Lokacharya's

Mumukshuppadi

Sutra:

61. athilum anya sEshathvam kazhikaiyE prathAnam.

Meaning:

The meaning of anya sEshatva nivrutti is the better one

than the meaning of Lakshmi sEshatvam.

Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai:

Rather than taking Lakshmi as the meaning of ukAram, it is

better to take it that avatAraNam is its meaning. That is

the meaning that is to be seeked. Sri Sambandham can be

realized through the akAram itself. Since there is no

better place than the ukAram to show anya sEshatva nivrutti,

it is better to take its meaning as avatAraNam.
