Guest guest
Members may kindly recall query regarding the need for "Acharyan" in view of a) Paramatma being closer to a Jevvatman than what any other Jeevcatman can possibly be as illustrated by the incident of the first three Alwars meeting in a small room and b) the kalyana guna- "Saushilyam" of the Lord. Swami V. Krishnan, who was recently in Bombay, was kind enough to clarify in an informal meeting, as follows: Refering to Pillai Ulaga Ariyar's Shri Vachana Bushanam (Sutra 442) he said that just as a lotus can bloom in the presence of the Sun only if it is rooted in water but gets dried up in no time if the water is drained so also a jeevatma needs the grace of God and Acharyan.
