Sri Bhasya available for distributed proofreading

Dear members,

 

SBE Vol 48 -The Vedanta Sutras with commentary by Sri Ramanuja

is currently up for distributed proofreading (dp) at

http://texts01.archive.org/dp

 

The Distributed Proofreader site, allows anyone with a browser

to proofread texts that are in the "public domain" and

these eTexts once proofread are distributed freely through Project

Guttenberg (http://www.guttenberg.net) (pg) to hundreds of servers

and mirrors throughout the world. They currently proofread

close to 3,500 pages a day.

 

This being a sacred text will also be distributed at

sacred-texts.com - The Internet Sacred Texts Archive (ISTA),

which attempts to provide scholars

and others access to the texts of various religions. That requires a

slightly "higher" or "richer" formatting standard.

 

So, please do sign-in at the the dp site, read the format

guidelines for this book and maybe proofread 1,2 or as many

pages as you can.

 

Finally, now that we've been able to get the first sv-book up

on 'dp' I'd like to request members to provide me names of

books (in English) that were published pre-1923, so that we

could run them through the same process.
