Sri azhagia manavALap perumAL nAyanAr is the second son of sri vadakkuth thiruvEdhip piLlai and younger brother of sri piLLai lokAcharyar. He lived in the thirteenth century. His other works include commentary for thiruppavai-Arayirappadi, amalanAdhip pirAn, kaNNinuN siruthAmbhu. It goes without saying that Sri azhagia manavALap perumAL nAyanAr mastered all the commentaries of thiru voi mozhi, as he was the son of swAmi vadakkuth thiruvEdhip piLLai who made the Edu commentary of thiru voi mozhi in script Sri azhagia manavALap perumAL nAyanAr resided in Sri Rangam and was a brahmachAri.
