Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Sri Azhagiya MaNavALa PerumAL NAyanAr eplains the reasons for the greatness of TiruvAymozhi over Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita is a "thathva upadhEsham" or a "theory(aRivurai)". TiruvAymozhi is a "thathva dharshi vacanam" or a "practical". That is,NammAzhvAr has seen EmperumAn/God and TiruvAymozhi is the effect/result of that experience/anubhava or the God's grace(a cause which is causeless). "adhu thathva upadhEsham;idhu thathva dharshi vacanam" - AH 190 BG 7.6: "Ethad yOnIni bhUthathAni sarvANIthi upaDhAraya | aham krthsnas ya jagatha: prabhava: praLayas thaThA || Lord says: "I'm the cause of all the worlds and every living entity. I'm the creater, sustainer and the destroyer. I'm the seshi(master) and therefore I'm the "para" thatvam and there is no greater thatvam than I am. So,take refuge in Me alone." Lord explains His own greatness and lesser brains will not accept and realize this. On the other hand NammAhvAr,as an unfailing judge, shares his experience/anubhava of having seen EmperumAn/God and lesser brains can accept and appreciate this. "maNNum viNNum ellAm udan uNda nam kaNNan kaN;alladhu illaiyOr kaNNE" - TVM 2.2.1 "kaNNan allAl illai kaNdIr sharaN thiNNamA num udaimai uNdEl avan adi sErththu uymminE" - TVM 9.1.10 PS:If the usage of words convey something different from the interpretations of our Acharyas, please don't hesitate to send a note or verify the actual meaning. I'm also learning and try to clarify my doubts with erudite people like Sri Parthasarathy,Sri Padmanabhan and others.
