Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Dear bhAgavatas, adiyEn thinks that there is evidence for Nappinnai being the incarnation of Nila Devi, in Nammazhvar's pasuram "Kangulum Pagalum". Thiruvaymozhi 7.2.9: en thiru magaL sEr maarvanE! ennum ennudai AviyE! ennum, nin thiru eyiRRAl idanthun Nee koNda nilamagaL kELvanE! ennum, anRuruvEzhum thazuvi Nee koNda AymagaL anbanE! ennum, then thiruvarangam kOyil koNdAnE! theLigilEn mudivu ivaL thanakkE Here Azhvar addresses to Sriman Narayana as "thirumagaL sEr mArvan" refering to Sri Devi, "nilamagaL kELvan" refering to Bhu Devi and "AymagaL anban" refering to Nila Devi. As She is addressed as Ay magaL (gOpika), adiyEn is guessing that this refers to Nappinnai. If adiyEn has made any errors in this interpretation, I seek all bhAgavatas pardons. adiyEn madhurakavi dAsan Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax. Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear Sri TCA Venkatesh, Accept my pranams. The question was not related to doubting the equivalence of nappinnai(AymagaL) and nILAdEvi. But related to why ANdAL had referred to nappinnai as "puruShakAram" when rukmiNi was the chief queen and also why Sri ParAshara bhattar's thaniyan starts with "nILAthunga" and if nappinnai and rAdhA are the same. NammAzhvAr also says in TVM 2.9.10 "EREl Ezhum venRu ErkoL ilangaiyai* nIRE seidha nedunjudarjothi!* thus referring to nappinnai and sita and also in TVM 1.7.8 "ennai negizhkkilum ennudai nalnenjath thannai* agalvikkath thAnumkillAn ini* pinnai nedum vaNaiththOL magizhpIdudai* munnai amarar muzhumudhaLAnE. (PerumAL can not leave NammAzhvAr because N is a slave to mother Nappinnai). Seek forgiveness for "rough" translation.
