The word "kaivalyam" is derived from the word

"kevalam" - only.kaivalyam also gives one a certain

degree of bliss since one can enjoy nirguna Brahman

i.e. pure conciousness without the limitations of the

"dehatma budhi" bondage. It is very easy to fall into

this pitfall or trap as it is pleasant and can be

cultivated by meditation. It is for this

reason that our poorvacharyas warned us against it.

The antidote to this temptation is to imbibe the sense

of "seshathvam" by contemplating on the soothras of

the great ulagariyar- svb.By doing this one develops

the constant sense of being His seshi or slave. The

word

seshi means property but a more appropriate

translation would be the word "slave".

Trust this humble understanding of mine is useful to

the group members.
