srImathE ramAnujAya namah

 

the "sarva dEsa dasA kAlEshu" slOka that we recite during the

sARRumurai is attributed to "periya jIyar".

 

There are two opinions about the authorship. One opinion is that

it was svAmi maNavALa mAmuni who did that.

 

periya jIyar also is a term used to refer to svAmi nanjIyar.

So, it is quite possible that svAmi nanjIyar authored this slOka.

 

One does not know when the sARRumurai kramam became prevalant.

So, it is entirely possible that svAmi nanjIyar auithored it,

and hence there is no prejudice towards that slOka from sections

of the srIvaishNava community.

 

Either way though, it was authored by one of the AcharyAs who

grace the OrAn vazhi guruparampara.
