Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatars This is an extremely long and tedious discussion, sahetuka, nirhetuka - who cares? It is all a matter for the Lord, it has nothing to do with us. Our duty is simply to surrender, practice loving kindness and compassion and serve all beings as they were God Himself (or herself!) and please leave the rest to Him. We should focus on our practice not on the effect that that practice has on the Lord (karmanyeva adhikaraste ma phaleshu kadacana). Let us rather turn our attention to how we can bring ever increasing joy and happiness to others - does any one have any suggestions? We can randomly choose emperumAn's qualities, and everyone can post their thoughts/anecdotes, purANa incidents, AzhvAr pAsurams, upanishad quotes etc. that pertain to that guNa of the Lord. How about we start with the beauty of each part (anga) of the Lord's divine body? May we can start from His lotus feet. adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan, varadhan
Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear devotees, How about starting from bhAgavathas? We can include our AzhvArs & AcAryAs(Sri Bhattar and Nanjeeyar conversation is very interesting to read) life as well in this. Side by side,Lord's kalyANa guNAs or His Divine parts will automatically enter the life of bhAgavathAs. If we have to practise a prapanna life truthfully, first we need to know the lives of great bhAgavathAs. I love the audacity of Kaliyan biting Lord's Divine lotus feet. That's how Lord showers His grace on Kaliyan to engulf him completely. BhAgavathAs practised and hence their lives will have an influence on the readers. For example, the Lord's thirumEni is so soft and beautiful that when SriRama stayed in dhaNdakAraNya,the love showered by the devotees, in protecting the Lord, starting from LakshmaNa,to guha and his men and the entire residents of dhaNdakAraNya is amazing! We have so many illustrations of this kind. We can literally cover all the aspects in the bhAgavatha discussion. If someone can write on SVS based on Sri Parashara Bhattar's Sri bhagavad guNa dharpaNa,it will be great and let it go separately of bhAgavatha discussion. Just a suggestion. Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear TA Varadhan, We can start the bhAgavatha discussion right from emperumAnAr,an incarnation of ananthAzvAn/AdisheSha/lakshmaNa/ balarAma,who is not only a bhAgavatha but also our AcArya shining like a sun(which only removes external darkness)but removing our internal darkness and who is aptly nicknamed as "udaiyavar(one who possesses even the possessor SriRanganATha)" by Lord SriRanganATha Himself and the Lord named our sampradAyam as "emperumAnAr dharshanam". What do you bhAgavathAs say? AzhvAr emperumAnAr jIyar thiruvadigaLE sharaNam NC Nappinnai
