Guest guest
Dear Nappinnai, adiyEn is glad to see that you are going to post a series of articles on the outstanding work of Alavandhar, Stotra Ratnam. adiyen looks forward to the series. And the timing is perfect, since the day after tomorrow (Aug 10 - Adi Uttharadam) is Alavandhar's thirunakshatram. You had talked about Ramanuja mentioning his gratitude to Alavandhar. Here are a couple of quotes from Swami Ramanuja that emphasize that: "Am I not Ekalavya to Alavandhar?" "If I could have been with Alavandar, I would have built a staircase to Paramapadam". Also Ramanuja offers his praise to Alavandhar in the mangaLa shlokas of Vedartha Sangraham and Sri Vaikunta Gadyam. adiyEn madhurakavi dAsan --- vaidhehi_nc <nappinnai_nc wrote: > EmperumAnAr,in his samskrt work(gItha > bhAShya) expresses > his indebtedness and gratitude to this great AcAryA > without whose > grace,Ramanuja would not have been successful in > accomplishing his > tasks. Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear Venkatesan, Thanks for your reply. Infact I thought if TCA Venkatesan can write on Sri Parashara Bhattar(which I also wanted to share and you will see my article in between:-)),why not I write about Sri yAmunAcArya's work? So you had been the driving force for my enthusiasm to write this:-). I request you and all other devotees, without any hesitation, to correct me if I go wrong in translating the maNipravALam explanation of Sri Periya vAccAn piLLai.
