Guest guest
Dear devotees, I thank you for all your responses through personal mails as well as through forum replies for my previous queries. I have few more questions which are not philosophical. 1. Are there any dwivedis/trivedis/chaturvedis in our sampradayam? 2. Are there any Atharva-vedins i.e. who are not any of the above and who follow srauta-sutram of Vaitana & Grihya sutram of Kaushika? 3. Does our sampradayam have any stance on srauta sacrifices like AgnishToma, jyothishToma, agni-chayana etc.? (i.e. are they necessary? not necessary? Have anybody in our sampradayam performed Soma yagnya? Recently keralite-nambudris performed soma-yagna as I gather). 4. This is more like a poll - Do we have followers of Maithrayaniya or KaThaka Krishna-yajur veda? If so what kalpa sutram do they follow? 5. We have lost lot of vedic shakhas due to ravage of time/muslim invasions/lack of interest/lack of support and what not. How much is effor currently in our sampradayam (i.e. our current acharyas) to save whatever is left. Already Jaiminiya shakha of Sama Veda is almost extinct. I heard only two or three keralite septuagenarians are capable of reciting it. Thanks in advance. Regards, Kasturi Rangan .K
