Dear devotees,

Humble pranAms to all. I have a question for which I need

clarification! It's regarding thirumaN. WHy don't females(both

married as well as unmarried) wear the perumAL's pAdam(white vertical

lines) and also the stem(kAmbu)? Are there any technical reasons for

it? I'm ashamed of myself b'coz my 5 year old niece had asked my

younger sister this question and my sister in turn asked me as she

was not able to answer her and I told my sis laughingly that I also

do not know! Please kindly share the reason with me.

Thanks & Best regards

Dear Devotees,

I would like to add some more into this question as i feel it would be the right

time.

If anyone could also describe briefly the scientific reason aand the spiritual

reason for having Tiruman and Naamam.

Is there a reason for it to be in white and red. what exactly is the material

made of and why? Actually i heard that Tiruman was dropped on this earth near a

place in Srirangam by Sri Garudar himself! Is it true? Is there any such

significance?

waiting for your replies

thanks
