What is the prescribed fasting procedure for Sri Vaishnavas during ?? The Gaudiya Vaishnavas totally refrain themselves from eating any grains or grain by-products, for they believe on the basis of scriptures that Kali purusha (or is it Sin personified, I am not sure) resides in the grains on the days of Ekadasi, as per Sriman Narayana's instructions- therefore eating grains amounts to committing a very sinful action. What should be the habit of SriVaishnavas?? I know people having "tiffin" items and calling it "PalagAram", but the actual word being "Phal AhAram" which means, "meal of fruit". I would be thankful if the adiyArs can utter a few words of wisdom on this matter. AzhwAr emperumanAr jeeyar thiruvadigaLe Saranam Dasan, Kidambi Soundararajan.
