Guest guest
Dear Sri Srinivasan, Adiyen is grateful to you for supplying the following essential and significant information about Svami Manavala Mamunigal's stay in Mannargudi and laying down of schedules to recite decades 4-6 and 5-3 of TVM in the temple. The decades as per your info are "Thiirpaarai yaamini" and "Maasharu shodhi en shAYyya vAy manikkunramE". Both these decades contain reference to Lord gopalakrishna as van tuvaraavati mannan and have been aptly offered to Rajagopala by Svamy ManavalaMaamunigal just as Bhagavad Ramanuja offered "oru nAyakamAy" to Tirunarayana of Melukote. The suplied info is also helpful in understanding the Gopalavimshati. Apart from this and Kamala stuti Swami has also authored Rangarajastuti(vimshati). If possible we may try to serialise them in this group with meanings. Quote from the Sthala Puranam as well as from a write up from my maternal Grandfather (Late Sri T.M Thirumalai Iyengar of Mannargudi) and from my father, "The last of the great acharyas, Sri MANAVALA MAA MUNIGAL spent some time in this shrine and regulated the mode of worship by enjoining the recital of the 2nd psalms in THIRU VAAI MOZHI in the daily routine. Sri Manavala Maamunikal has also sung the GOPALA VIMSADHI and the KAMALA STHUTHI in praise of Sri VidyaRajagopalan of Mannargudi".
