Thereby Sri ramanuja accepted sanyasa and performed the respective duties

without any flaw. “What a wonder? By the divine grace of swamy alavandaar,

all the hinderances in my way have been easily removed and a right path has been

shown to me. Similarly it will be nice if I am able to fulfill the wishes of

swamy alavandaar” thought ramanuja in his minds. While his mind wondered in the

same thought suddenly swamy was reminded of govinda bhattar. “He is our

wellwisher; moreover he is filled with vairakya and has a saintly attitude

towards life and has a great scholarship in the sastras. It will be nice if

someone joins him with us; now he is under the service of another deity

(devathAntharaparan). Who will make him realize the defects in the place where

he is (ullankai konarindha edam) and make him understand the superiority of

emperuman who is adorned as “sarvagandha: sarvarasa:” wondered swamy.

 

 

 

Then swamy can to the conclusion that his acharya Sri Periya thirumalai nambi,

who is a bureau of Athma gunas, well versed in vedas and vedantha, who has a

deep interest in the divine works of vakulAbharanar, sri nammazhvar, who is

under the daily service of thiruvenkatamudaiyan (“thiladha mulagukkAi nindra

thiruvEnkataththu emperuman”) and who is one of the greatest acharyas is the

best suitable person for changing govinda bhattar.

 

 

 

Immediately, swamy sent a word to Periya thirumalai nambigal through a

srivaishnava stating that, “Your sister’s son vattamaNigovinda bhattan who was

my classmate and a very close friend, due to bad contacts has changed path and

is presently staying in the wrong place kalahasthi; My (adiyen’s) humble request

to swamy is that for my sake please shower your nirheduka krupa (grace without

any reason) on him and bring him to the right path.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, coming to know about the sanyasa ashrama sveekaram (acceptance) of

Swamy, kandhAdai mudaliyAndAn and hAreedhakula thilakar thirumarumArban

otherwise well known as kooraththAzhvan with great love came to perumal koil,

prostrated ramanuja and requested swamy to bless them with panchasamskaram.

Ramanuja was also deeply impressed and hence blessed them with panchasamskaram

as per their wish. Very happy to have been blessed by swamy, both of them

keeping the following verses in mind always remained under the divine kainkaryam

to the acharya,”atheetya manthramAchAryam poojayE sakthithO dvaja:I

AcharyAdheenavriththisthu yAvajjeevam sadhA susi: II”
