This VARIJA is a place situated on the slope of red mountains extending till the foot of the mountain that touches the oncoming 4-lane road along the beach road of the Bay of Bengal. Proper transportation facilities are not available for easy movement. It is difficult even for the people who are in Vizag to come here to the Asramam. So they expected some 2 to 3 thousand devotees on the whole. But amazing...., turning upside down the estimations of the organisers, devotees poured-in to greet HH Sri Swamiji with birthday wishes. This time Swathi star came on the next day to Dipavali. Usually it comes on the Dipavali day itself every year. As devotees came in, the whole Asramam was crowded with Divine names every where. Every body singing the glories of HH Sri Swamiji discussing their wonderful experiences with the other Bhagavad Bandhus. Most of them started chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama Sthothra with their own group, some doing Acharya Paduka Puja, some arranging facilities for the sake of devotees, some moving here and there carrying message about HH and the ongoing programme. What a great sight ever ! May we live several millions of years in such a wonderful experience that focus on the glory of the Divine wisdom, our "Acharya" HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the Divine incarnation of Lord Narayana Himself. Children, Vedic students clad in yellow robes, were seen moving here and there, serving devotees and making arrangements for the Pada Puja Programme to HH Sri Swamiji. There was a festive flash of activity observed in every face. They are all blessed. Blessed are they... for having chosen to follow the Vedic path in accordance with the tradition of our ancient Sages and saints. It is a flash, out of the curtains, radiating with the dazzling shine of Divinity, appearing before devotees and everybody, waiting eagerly, involuntarily raised their spirits expressing themselves with the loud sounds of Jai Srimannarayana ! The whole Asram reverberated again and again, which matched with the natural roaring sounds of the nearby ocean and the scene appeared as if the Divinity was spread like wild fire encompassing inner depths of all the world around. Every body's heart yearned to have the Divine Darsan of HH Sri Swamiji, and once HH appeared before them, they suddenly got exited and reached the ecstatic state of bliss. HH Sri Swamiji moved to the thathched hut, a Divine palace where thousands of devotees are waiting to have HH Sri Swamiji's Darsan. HH performed Aradhana as usual and started distributing Thirttham. Though the Thirttha goshtti was expected for one to 1 and half hours, it took more than 4 hours. As the main programme is by 11.00 O 'clock people started coming by that time and the estimations have turned upside down. Organisers started making additional arrangements for Thadiyaradhana to all the devotees. Great... they were successful in providing everybody with Prasadam, blessed by HH. HH returned to invite the Vedic scholar who is going to receive Jeeyar Award this year. HH personally invited U.VE. Sriman Valayapettai Navalpakkam Krishna Ramanuja Thathacharya Swami and took him to the main dias where the whole programme is scheduled. More than 10,000 devotees were present to witness the event, ofcourse, mainly to take the Divine Mangalasasanams of HH Sri Swamiji, specially on His Thirunaksathram day. HH Sri Rangaramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji from Kakinada graced this event. THe programme started with Veda Santhi, when students from 4 Vedic branches have recited Vedic hymns. Local Mayor, MLA and also State Minister attended the programme. Jeeyar Award was conferred on the recepient amidst great applause. The recepient was a great Vedic Scholar who dedicated his life in preserving and propagating Vedic tradition. He gave wonderful message quoting a number of Vedic references , many of which are very familiar, those, we might have heard from HH many a time in his discourses. Then three Vedic texts that were published by JET were released. The grand patron of this Vedic activity in Vizag, Sriman U.A.N Raju released Kanva Sakha Kramam. Maithrayini... the Vedic branch that has been reinstated by HH Sri Swamiji, book-1 was also released. After dignitaries addressing the audience exploring the glories of HH Sri Swamiji and His mission, HH blessed the Mangalasasanams. The programme came to an end with the scintillating vote of thanks from U.Ve. Sriman T.P. Sriramachandracharya Swami, Editor Telugu Bhakthinivedana. In the evening session, the crackers were burnt shattering the darkness of ignorance and egoism. It appeared that today is the actual Dipavali. This continued for 2 and half to 3 hours when, every student was delighted to burn and watch the crackers lighting up. Several designs and varieties of crackers were specially made by the devotees of Mandapeta and the places around. The whole gathering was awe struck at the grand celebration. Students and devotees performed Pada Puja collectively to HH Sri Swamiji and were blessed to receive the grace of HH Sri Swamiji. Everybody was extremely satisfied at the wonderful arrangements made by the local committee members and the dedicated devotees, in facilitating the invited devotees. HH was continuously enguaged in meeting devotees who came all the way from different places to take part in the programme. Howmuch ever we describe, it is less. It is a unique programme blessed on us to take us more near to the goal of our life. May everybody be blessed with such a Divine association and experience ! Jai Srimannarayana !
