Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha Please join us on Vedics bridge for a talk on Sri Thirukkachi Nambi ,by Chi.SriRam Elayavalli, ( Son of Sri ESBV Swami ) on saturday Feb 27th at 8:00 am where He will talk about the 6 doubts that Swami Ramanuja got clered from Deva Perumal by Sri Thirukkachi Nambi. His birthstar falls on Sunday Feb 29th. In the following paragraph a brief introduction given about Sri Thirukkachi Nambi. Thirykkachi Nambi’s avathara sthalam was called Dharmapuri, present day Puvirundamalli or Pundamalli. He was born in Shobhakruth year, month Masi Star Muragaseerusham. His Thirunamas are Thirukkachi Nambi, Sri Kanchipurnar and Sri Gajendra Dasar. He lived in Kanchipuram, and His kainkaryam was fanning Devaraja Perumal. His work was Varadharajashtakam and Devaperumal (Sri Varadharaja) used to talk to Him. Sri Alawandar was shown Swami Ramanuja by Thirukkachi Nambi when He was given the name Amudhalvan. After Yadhava Prakasa told Ramanuja not to come back to classes, because of His disagreements with His teacher, His mother told Him to get acquainted with Thirukkachi Nambi, and start learning kainkaryams from Him. So from a very young age Swami Ramanuja was greatly influenced by Thirukkachi Nambi and He got Ramanuja the kainkaryam of getting water from Salai Kinaru ( road side well) to Deva Perumal. After associating with Him for a while Swami Ramanuja requested Thirukkachi Nambi to be His Acharya, which He declined gently saying that He wasn’t qualified and also He knew the greatness of Ramanuja before anyone else. He got six of Swami Ramanuja’s doubts cleared from Deva Perumal. It was Thirukkachi Nambi who guided Swami Ramanuja to Peria Nambi for Pancha Samskaram. His Thaniyan is: “Devaraja dayapathram Srikanchipurna muthamam Ramanujamuner manyam vandeham sajjanasrayam” Adiyen chitra ramanuja dasee
