Interesting observation in S.Br

Hi List,

 

Modern physics tells us that about 10 to 20 billion years ago, the

universe was created from the explosion of a primeval atom (the

phenomenon popularly known as big bang). I couldn't resist noticing

the coincidental reading in S.Br.

 

"Once upon a time all these worlds were verily near and contiguous.

(sAyaNa adds that one can touch the sky by lifting one's hand). The

dEvas thought, how can we create space for ourselves? They breathed

the three-syllabled word "vItayE" through these and caused the world

to expand out".

 

(The explanation occurs during an artha-vAda of sAmidhEnI verses).
