Dear Sriman Mohan Ramanujam swamin,

SrimathE RAmAnujAya Namaha!

Kindly see the text of my previous posting pasted below.

................

Respected Bhagavathas,

Dasoham!!

Sometime back in a discussion thread relating to "Sandhya and Gayatri", a

Bhagavatha posted a query intending to know the source of "Dhyeyassada Savitru

mandala madhyavarthi..." shlokam.

This shlokam is from "Brihath Parasara Smrithi". This is quoted by Sri

Bhashyakara in his "Vedartha Sangraha" in the context of establishing the "Divya

mangala vigraham" of Srimannarayana along with may other quotes from Shruthi,

Smrithi and Ithihasas. I came across this information while going through

English Translation of "Vedartha Sangraha" by Sri S. S. Raghavachar, published

by Ramakrishna mutt. Incidentally, this translation is wonderful. I request all

bhagavathas to procure a copy of this. Actually, the structure and style of this

work of Sri Ramanuja itself comes across something refreshingly different from

other literary works of Vedantha. The whole work presents itself in a flow, more

like a presentation of modern orator. The traditional account that this work was

composed as a lecture in front of Thiruvengadamudaiyan by Sri Ramanuja sound

fairly credible.
