Guest guest
Dear Sir, Why the archaeology department of the Government of India is not coming forward to say anything, regarding the demolition of 600 plus year old '1000 pillared mantapam' and other heritage structures ? Whether the protection of such centuries old structures are left to the public ? If TTD is the custodian of their own structures, can they do what ever they want with them like removing or replacing. Just if TTD says that it is to make way for bigger constructions or if it says that the mantapam is not presently being used for vedic rituals then can they remove structures of heritage ?. On that lines can Charminar and Taj Mahal which are not presently being used for any religious purposes can be removed to make way for making other big projects for public welfare ? When the Government of India is spending crores of rupees on the departments of Archives, Archaeology etc, why then the common man is asked to defend for himself for protecting the heritage buildings like that on Tirumala ? If the departments of the Government of India cannot protect such heritage buildings, then it is better to assign the same to International Organizations like UNESCO. Even the media is simply taking one sided approach without verifiying facts and publishing nonsense views of immature people who still are favouring such demolitions either on flimsy grounds or by levelling baseless accusations against people like His Holiness Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji who had to trouble himself in defending the presence of our invaluable heritage structures instead of concentrating on his massive touring and educating people on the importance of our holy vedic scriptures like Srimadramayana, Srimadbhagawadgita, Upanishad etc. Dr.K.Ramakrishna Plot No.8, Progressive Colony, Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad - 500009
