Guest guest
Dear Mr. Marzban and others in the list, I am writing with great concern about the deterioration of our ancient Vedic and associated Ved-Puranic religion (referred to as aryan Hinduism), which was chiefly revived by Sri Adi Shankaracharya (either in 350B.C. or 350-750 A.D.) whose Mathas have become defunct except in Kanchi and Sringeri in South. Now the only followers left are brahmans and I fear the rest of India's population may become either Biblical or Koranic. Reason is: Many feel closer to Abraham than to Manu-Prajapatis-Rishis. HOW can it be that pious aryans who are Vedavestic and follow shrutis-smritis are being made to believe that they have descended from Abraham or Adam-Eve? Clearly they are Middle-Eastern Westasian tribals. How did Zoroastrians counter this argument? It has become a real problem for us as we are mostly as mixed as the rest of Indians. How can we convince others of our Aryan origins. By the grace of Shankaracharyas at Kanchi-Sringeri, we still have some structure left intact in South. I suggest, those that have Abrahamic-Biblical-Koranic spirit, better migrate to Middle-East, say Iraq-Dubai-Syria or Jordan. Of course, we do not mind a few minorities in major cities, but our holy tirtha-sthanas are being polluted by non-VedPuranic presences. Even at Dwaraka, capital of Shri Krishna's kingdom 5000 years ago, we find all unholy activites. Not to mention disappearance of Lord Ramachandra's capital cities. Fortunately, Mathura and Vrindavan are still there. Then, I fear, will we be faced with the same problem as was in Iran 1300 years ago? Especially, the Kashmirian Atharvan branch has all but vanished. Are there any Zoroastrians in Kashmir? This week is our Holy Upakarma week, and I believe only Southern brahmans take interest in particpating in the Rig-Yajur-Saamaa thread-changing ceremonies though all Vedic aryans are welcome. Whata are the suggestions for solving this problem, especially since India is Vedic Holy Land? Extending this definition, Pakistan-Afghanistan must be Veda-Avestic, Iran must be Avestic and everything on top of these four must be a linear combination of Veda-Avestic-European !! I think this is the best way to re-revive our ancient Aryan religion throughout Aryavarta (Aryanam Vaeja) !! Which magazine should I to in Mumbai to keep up with Avestan scriptural developments? Lastly, I suggest that to save our Holy Vedic tirtha-sthanas from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, our Indian Zoroastrians build Fire-Temples + Vedavesta pathashaalas in EACH tirtha-sthana, and each contains a detailed temple-account of Indo-Aryan relgion, history and culture. Is this possible? Sincere regards, Venkat Chitoor Tel: 91-22-26702615 India Matrimony: Find your life partneronline.
Guest guest
My apologies for letting this extreme, sometimes irrational, and in many places inaccurate, post come on to the Ramanuja list. adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan, varadhan ramanuja, Venkatesh Chitoor <vchitoor> wrote: > Dear Mr. Marzban and others in the list, > > I am writing with great concern about the deterioration of our ancient Vedic and associated Ved-Puranic religion (referred to as aryan Hinduism), which was chiefly revived by Sri Adi Shankaracharya (either in 350B.C. or 350-750 A.D.) whose Mathas have become defunct except in Kanchi and Sringeri in South.
