Dear all, While madhurakavi does not have any mamakAra and ahankAra, I missed out something in my mail. Madhurakavi means a lot for us in his statement and does not limit himself to expressing his joy. What he conveys in kaNNinuN SirutthAmbu first pASuram is AchArya's qualities are more bhOgyam for him than emberumAn's. So neither pride nor just sharing his joy! One devotee in an internet source has interpreted that AzhwAr's ahankAra and mamakAra are lost as he sings the glory of his master and takes refuge in his feet. I do not know whether it is explicit or implicit in the pASuram, but is true, even if it is not mentioned! Dasan Vishnu
