Guest guest
Srimate Ramanujaya Nama: Dear Ms.Nappinnai Thank you for pointing out my post. I was going to correct it. When a person is haunted, it happens because of a weak mind and weak will and impure condition.Hence his soul exists in the same body in the same heart, in addition to the haunting soul, but the activities of his mind and senses and even consciousness are overpowered and hence such persons keep alternating their identity. It is just like, if the owner of a house is weak and there is a strong tenant or for that matter a thug who takes control of the house, for all practical purposes the owner retains the title, but, the tenant or the thug can nevertheless act as powerfully as a owner enjoying the real owner's property and subduing his powers. Also, there are countless living beings and hence as many souls like bacteria, amoeba etc in a single human body, but the possessor nevertheless remains owner of the body by way of his consciousness, just like, even in the house we live, there can be many living beings such as insects(cockroaches), animals(pets) etc, but we are the owner of the house. These are only my understanding. I welcome any comments or pramanas for/against it. Krishna Dasee Vedavalli Ranganathan
Guest guest
Dear Bhagwathas, I am participating in this group, to improve my bhakthi and knowledge by discussing with one another about our mighty Lord.By discussing about ghosts , as i said it is inauspicious, and it takes us away from the topics of God. Hence i am not going to send any more posts about ghosts. Krishna Dasee, Vedavalli > > Srimate Ramanujaya Nama: > > Dear Ms.Nappinnai > > Thank you for pointing out my post. Guest guest
SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA. The following is based on adiyaL's limited knowledge of texts to produce pramanas in this context. (1) There are no twin souls in a single body as per texts. According to Brahma sutras such a condition comes to exist just for 2 months in a man's body ( who is the act of generation) when the soul which is in the process of being born remains in the man's yoni which is the 4th oblation as per panchagni vidhya. As a continuation of this process, it enters the woman's yoni to take a body. Thus another soul exists in a woman's body only for the sake of getting a body and birth. (2)In 1-16 of Acharya hridhayam, we come across references to 4 types of bodies (deham) and 4 gathis. Taking cue from this, it is understood that there are only 4 kinds of deham, deva, manushya, dhiryak (can any one please explain what this is) and sthavara. (3) I wish to combine the 4 gathis in this context as that gives an idea about the nature of beings in different bodies. It is said that those having a mix of punya and paapa are born in garbha-agathi (womb). Those who are to experience the effects of paapa alone are born in Yaamya gathi. Those who are to experience the effects of punya alone are born in Dhoomaathi-gathi. Those who are entitled to attain paramapadam go by Archirathi-gathi. (4)Going by this, the existence of paishasha or ghosts is possible and they are (probably) the ones attaining yaamya gathi. (5)There is no basis to assume that the 'haunted' ones have indeed been occupied by other souls or ghosts. Science has better explanations for this state - which once again prove that other souls do not enter the so-called haunted ones. (6) The 'taamasa janaa:' as mentioned in chapters 9 and 17 of BG are persons with taamasic gunas and not 'ghosts' which are supposed to have subtle bodies. -jayasree saranathan. ramanuja, vedavalli ranganathan <vedaranga> wrote: > > Srimate Ramanujaya Nama: > > Dear Ms.Nappinnai > > Thank you for pointing out my post. Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear Smt Vedavalli, Humble praNAms to you. Without using virus and bacteria,we can use God Himself as a weapon. Since this entire world constitutes His body and He is the antaryAmi of every jIvAtmA, we can safely say there exist many souls(infact infinite) in one single body. Very interesting the topic of ghosts/accidents...Well, surely I would like to know about these things from SV perspective(if it addresses these issues).
