Question on jathakarma and namakarana

Respected Bhakthas,

I had some questions on the jathakarma and namakarana ceremonies. I

ask these questions due to my ignorance.

 

1. Do rituals like jathakarma and namakarana hold significance for

Srivaishnavas?

 

2. If so, then when and where should these rituals be conducted?

 

3. I have heard that these rituals are anyway done as part of the

upanayanam of a boy or the marriage of a girl. In that case, should

they be done separately after a baby's birth also?
