Narayana Narayana

Pleased by Mandavya's penance, Sriman Narayanan appeared before him

in all His splendor. It was exactly similar to

the one described a few weeks ago.

Then, Vishwaksena-the Senadhipathi of Sriman Narayanan, said, "Oh

Mandavya! You are indeed blessed that the Lord of

the three worlds has come here to grant all your wishes". Listening to

this celestial message, Mandavya opened his eyes,

only to behold the divine form of Sriman Narayana. He then sang out

the glory of Sriman Narayana, who was standing with one

hand on His waist and the other pointing to His lotus feet. Then, as

per the wish of Mandavya, Sriman Narayana consented to

stay there as archa murthi and accept worship according to the

Pancharatra Agama Vidhi. He also granted a boon to Mandavya

that he would be given His Divya Sayujyam at that place itself. Saying

so, He immediately turned into an Archa Vigraham. He

was later consecrated at that place coinciding with the Shravana

Nakshathram of Bhadrapada masam, Shukla Paksham, as per

Pancharatra Agama Vidhi. One can find, even to this day, the presence

of one of Mandavya's clan, worshipping Sri Srinivasa

Perumal, in the Garbha Griham, in the form of a frog.

Thus, this place is also sanctified by the divine stay of Sriman

Narayana, His Divya Parivaram and Sage Mandavya,

who attained Divya Sayujyam at this place.
