Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujaya nama: Dear Moderator, HH Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar replied to some questions on samAshrayanam and tiruArAdhanam. Kindly post it. Thanks. Jai Srimannarayana! A pregnant woman can have sama:srayanam upto 6th month. After that it is not accepted. For women after their menstrual cycle starts, they can have sama:srayanam, but not before that. There is no question whether they are married or not. For boys, if they are from the Brahmin, kshatriya or vysya communities, they need to finish upanayanam, then only they can have samasrayanam. For others there is no restriction as such, yet, we insist upon an age like 14 or 15 years, so that they can have an understanding, what they are taking and why and so on. Women can do thiruva:ra:dhanam, in a simple way, without using many more manthras. ‘without husband women cannot do’ is not heard by us. We are sure that God can be worshipped by all without any physical status. Vedas are for all. They need to cater the needs of people belong to rajas, thamas and satwa also. They teach in accordance with that. Whereas prabandhas are very focused on particular forms of God only. For example, nalayiram is for vaishnavas and the:varam for saivas. They are very clear for those who follow that particular form. ==Chinnajeeyar== Mail - now with 250MB free storage. Learn more.
