"THIRUKKANNAPURAM" in TamilNadu is one among 108 divyadesams, sung

in praise by Five Alwars. This is prime among "Pancha Krishna

Kshethrams" and regarded as "Kheezhai Veedu" (Eastern abode) while

Srirangam is the western abode. Lord sowriraja at thirukkannapuram

is the embodiment of the whole of THIRUVASHTAKSHARA

manthra. "MARANAMANAL VAIKUNTHAM KODUKKUM PIRAN" says Nammalwar.This

place is, therefore, known as Vaikuntham on earth. There is no

separate "PARAMAPADHA VAASAL" here.

 

 

 

In such a famous temple the Samprokshanam was done in 1992. With the

divine command, the devotees came forward to take up the renovation

work and perform mahasamprokshanam in this year at an estimated cost

of Rs.15 Lakhs.

 

 

 

The work are proposed to be carried out as "DONORS THIRUPPANI

SCHEME" in which each and every segment/portion of the work like

Vimanam, Gopuram, Mandapam, etc can be undertaken by devotee as

Donors/sponsors. Therefore we request the Bhakthas to contribute and

undertake a portion of the work as kainkaryam to Lord Sri.Sowriraja.

 

 

 

The deciding donors can send the contribution through Cheque /

Demand Draft, drawn in favor of "Thirukkannapuram Sri Sowriraja

Perumal Bhaktha Jana Sabha" for enabling the execution on behalf of

the donors. For further details please contact the following

persons, who are co-ordinating in the execution of renovation work
