Phone: 0431-2437136. -------- APPEAL FOR CASH DONATIONS. The Trust was registered in 1997 and has been rendering the following sacramental services (effective from January 23 1998) in the twin Temples of Sri Vatapatra-Saayee and of Aandaal, in the sacred city of Sri-villi-puttur (District Virudunagar, Tamil Nadu). 1) Daily recital of the Veda and Divya Prabandham scripture on the specified occasions. 2) Offering of cash 'sambhaavanam' (ceremonial fee) to 'adhyaapaka-s' (reciters) for the recitation service. 3) Providing materials for the daily 'snapana tirumanjanam' (ceremonial bath) of saint Periyaazhvaar / Vishnu-chitta divya-soori. 4) Organising of food offerings ('talikai' / naivedya prasaadam) in the morning, mid-day and evening hours, in the shrines of Sri Vatapatra-saayee, Aandaal and Periyaazhvaar. 5) Distribution of the sacramental prasaadam among outstation pilgrims (desaantari yaatrika-s) who visit the Temples. The corpus fund of the Trust was started with a minimum donation of Rs.3000/- from each donor, and the interest accrued utilised for the services. The target of 1000 donors has not yet been achieved even in half measures, and this needs to be completed expeditiously. Further, with the steadily dwindling interest rates, it has become urgently necessary to seek further donations for administering this noble cause in this cherished 'divya-desam' of Sri-villi-puttoor. Each and every devotee of Aandaal is, accordingly, requested to contribute to the Trust (in cash or through crossed cheque / Demand Draft, adding the collection charges, and made payable at Chennai), and also introduce more members on a one-to-one basis, so as to ensure the continuing of the prescribed 'aagama' services and preservation of the sacred 'sampradaayam' which is the precious and glorious legacy of all of us. Trustees. All donations to the Trust count for exemption from Income Tax under Section 80-G. *************************************************
