Thirukural's Vaishnava dimension ?

Hare Krishna.

Has there been any work done showing Thiruvalluvar to

be a Vaishnava ? I am aware of this debate about

Valluvar's religious identity, with works showing him

to be a Jain. There is also strong claim to him being

a Saivite. Some Saiva Aadheenams have practically

attempted to canonise Kural into a Saivite text.

Are there any literatures presenting a Vaishnava view

?

Please refer "Sri Nrusimha Priya" archieves. The well known scholor Sri

Kesava Iyengar (Thirukkuralappan) has established beyond doubt that

Thiruvalluvar is only a Srivaishnavite.Perhaps copy of the book may be

available with his illustrious son Sri K. Parasaran, formerly Attorney

General, Govt. of India, or his brother Sri Yaamunan, a leading lawyer at

Chennai.

Dear Sri Rahul,

Hare Krishna.

Thanks for your mail.

I am not disputing anything that you have said.

However, it is for academic and research purposes that

I posed this question, nothing else.
