Guest guest
Kartik month is seen as a sacred vaishnava month Two very important events in this month particulary celebrated by Gaudiya, Vallabha and Swaminarayan Sampradays are Govardhan puja/Annakut and Tulasi Vivha. Goverdhan Puja rememebers the pastime of Sri Krishna lifting the Goverdhan Mountain, this day (Karttik shukla pratipad) which is the day after Deeplavalli is celebrated by creating a Mt goverdhan from Mud, rice or Halwa and doing puja to it. Also a huge varriety of Naivedya is offered to Bhagavan (annakuta). Tulasi Vivah or Tulasi-salagram kalyanam is the Wedding ceremony of Vrinda devi (tulasi) with Sriman Narayan (in the form of Salagrama), this is observed from Kartik Shukla Ekadasi to Kartik purnima. I wanted to Know is these festivals are observed in Sri Vaishnava sampardaya, and if so how are they celebrated????
