Guest guest
sri: Pranam to all devotees: ============================================ Talks with students at UIC based on GPP6000 ============================================ The Incident when and how MudalAzhvars meet: All the three mudal azhvars would move from a temple town to another worshipping the lord everywhere and in everything. In this tour, from town to town Thirukkovalur was the town poigaiAr was visiting. This town is one of the pancha krishnaranya Kshetras. During poigaiAr visit it was the rainy season, and there was a heavy downpur. PoigaiAr had to take shelter in sage Mrugandus small hut. The sage accommodated him by allowing him to use the small narrow hall (porch) of his hut. Being tired of walking, he lied down in that place and was about to rest, but there was a knock on the door. BhoodhathAr knocked the veranda and requested if he can come inside due to heavy rain outside. Being a devotee, (Devotee offers help to others as much as possible) he welcomed bhoodhathAr saying "Here, there is place for one person to lie down; but two of us can sit; please come inside. They started talking and they realized that they are both similar devotees of the LORD; and they talked about Lords activities and gunAs. While they were talking, there was another knock and pEyar was standing outside in the rain, asking if he could come inside. Both the devotees inside said "Please come in; All of us can stand in this space inside. All three started talking about their experiences with the LORD and the various temples they have visited and were deeply engrossed in their discussions. They were standing all this time (in a cramped space just enough for the three to stand). Suddenly they found themselves extremely cramped, as if one more person squeezed in the hall; They were wondering why all of a sudden, there is less space as if there are more than three persons; And there appeared the LORD, Sriman Narayana. All the three Azhwars were in tears, they lit the lamps out of their knowledge, love and surrender . All the three Azhvars had a sudden outpouring and they sang 100 pasurams each; Lord listened to them with satisfaction, blessed them and then disappeared. Then they went together to other temples, and experienced many wonderful moments and anubhavams together. Samskrit Vedas struggled to define the lord, but the three mudal Azhvars beautifully describe the LORD.
