Navaratri Celebrations at Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple

With the blessings of His Holiness Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana

Ramanuja Jeeyar, Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple of Houston, Texas, will be

conducting a 9-day long utsavam in celebration of Navaratri. Each of

first eight days will be in honor of one of the eight sacred Forms of

Our Divine Mother, Sri Mahalakshmi:

 

1. A:di Lakshmi

2. Santa:na Lakshmi

3. Gaja Lakshmi

4. Dhairya Lakshmi

5. Vijaya Lakshmi

6. Vidya Lakshmi

7. Dha:nya Lakshmi

8. Dhana Lakshmi

 

The events for the first eight days will include:

 

9:00 am - Thaya:r Thirumanjanam (Sri Lakshmi Abhishekam)

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm - Sri: Lakshmi Pu:ja, Sri: Stuti Ma:la, Bhajans,

and Maha Prasadam

 

The utsavam will conclude on the ninth day on Vijaya Dasami with Sri

Venkateswara Jayanthi celebrations. The events on this day will be as

follows:

 

9:00 am - Thiruva:radhanai (Sri Venkateshwara Abhishekam)

Divya Prabhanda Para:yanam (selected recitations from the 4000 Sacred

Collect of the A:lwa:rs)

SaRRumurai (Mangala Ha:rathi)

7:00 p.m. AshtaLakshmi Pu:ja

8:00 p.m. Sami Pooja and Bhajans
