SwAmi PiLLai LokAchAryA's 800th ThriunakshAthiram at KAnchi

 

It was a grand and great event at KAnchipuram. It was morning 8.30 Am and with

great splendour and pomp Sri Poizhgai Azhwar with Sri PiLLai LOkAchAryAr to his

right and Sri MaNavALa mAmunigaL to his left entered the VishNu kAnchi. The

SrEvaishNavites in and around the town and those who thronged to participate

caught this fervour, no sooner they entered this divine dhEsam.

 

Then followed Sri yAthOthakAri perumAL alongwith Sri VEaLukkai AL-ari azhasingar.

 

The three thOlukkiniyAn were typical in the sense that the kAnchi kuDai shone

out separately in an outstanding fashion.

 

The striking similarity between YathOthakAri perumAL and thEApperumAL is also a point to note.

 

The ghOshti at the commencement spread to a long long line with four rows.

Indeed great and the camera required three series shots to complete this large

divine gathreing of devotees and when the soun of 'pallANdu pallANdu' rent the

air, aruLichEyal indeed come to stay for ever.

 

YathothakAri being the avathAra sthalam of Poizhgai AzhwAr and This being PiLLai

LokAcharyAr Thriunakshathiram celebrations they took part in the procession. One

may question, how come Peirya jEyar participated? Those devout srEvaishNavites

to our AchAryAs will definitely say 'How can one miss the AchAryan?" Perhpas

true.

 

The fact however remains that it was Sri MaNavALa mAmunigaL who made the works

of Sri PiLLai lOkAchAryar known and clear to one and all by his wondeful

vyAkyAnam-s.

That is why we say '.sEr vulagAriyar seidharuL naR kalai thEASu polindhidu nAL'

 

The ghOsthi after rendering 'mudhal thriuvandhadhi continued with 'upadhEsa

RathinamAlai' and after compeltion of 4 vEdhi-s around pEAr aruLALan sannidhi,

culminated at The fron to Sri PrathivAthi bhayankaram aNNA sannidhi where these

two EmperumAn-s blessed PoizhgaiAr, PiLLai lOkAchAryar and Sri MaNavALa

mAmunigaL after the mangaLA sAsanam in the ThriunAngUr style. Yes, the pAsuram

'aippasi vONam' and 'mAthuLLa AzhwArgaL' piereced the air with great aura.

 

This was followed by the six pAsuram-s dedicated to Sri PiLLai LOkAchAryAr by

Sri MaNavALa MAmunikAL in the upadhESa RathinamAlai.

 

By the time it was around 11.30 Am and when the grand sAthumuRai in the unique

kAnchipuram style - commencing with high pitch, continuing with it and

escalating further more - culminated in a grand fashion. After Thertha

prasAdham- ThadhEyArAdhanai was also performed in a good manner.

 

It was a photo free day. AdiyEan , VaradharAjan and jillA VenkatEsh had a filed

day. This would perhaps comprise an album of at least 60 to70. This can be a

part of the website, I feel, Sri Pathangi.

 

This should also be a good collection for Pbase, I think Mukund.
