NUMBER THREE

 

There are number of trios in our sampradayam.

 

“tattvatrayam; adhil Athmatatvatrayam; adhil baddhAtmAkkal trayam; adhil

sEshatvajnAna mudaiyAr trayam; adhil bhagavat sEshatva jnAna mudaiyAr trayam;

Athma prApthi kAmar trayam; adhil prapannAdhikArigal trayam.

 

Tattvatrayam – chit (sentient), achit (insentient), Ishwaran (bhagavan)

Athma tatvatrayam – baddhar (those who are in this world), mukthar (those who

were once in the leela vibhoothi but now has ascended to the nithya vibhoothi),

nithyar (those who are always in the nithya vibhooti)

baddhAtma trayam – arthakAma parar(those who wish to enjoy lowkika pleasures),

dharmaparar (those who are interested in doing their duties/dharmas),

mokshaparar (those who wish to attain moksha)

sEshatvajnAna mudaiyar trayam – Those who are servants to the kings and others

in this world, those who are servants to the devathas, those who are servants

to bhagavan

bhagavat sEshatvajnAna mudaiyar trayam – Ishvaryarthi (those who have a thirst

for wealth), kaivalyarthi (those who want to attain kaivalyam), mumukshu (those

who want to attain moksha)

Athma prApthi kAmar trayam – those who wish to enjoy the atma that is mixed with

achit; those who enjoy the athma that has realized itself from the achit,

kaivalya nishtan; those who want to enjoy the atma as a part of brahmam

(brahmAtmakam) panchAgni nishtan;

PrappannAdhikArigal trayam – People like us are prapanas filled with ignorance;

Our poorvacharyas were prapannas filled with knowledge; Azhvars were prapannas

mesmerized with bhakthi;
