dear bhAgavathAs,

This third thiruvAimozhi should have been the second. In the first

decade of this century (vaayum thirai ugaLum

(ramanuja/message/5869), AzhvAr had

undergone a state of helplessness due to separation from the Lord.

This thiruvAymozhi is one where AzhvAr expresses his great

happiness of enjoying the company (togetherness) of the Lord, Who

had make Himself visible to nammAzvhAr on seeing his helplessness.

Though this probably should have been the second thiruvAymozhi,

the thiNNaNveedu decade, where AzhvAr sings about the all

supremeness of the Lord is present in an opportune manner.

Since the all-supremeness is a quality whereby the wonder of

"Such an all supreme Lord has made me be together with Him" is

to be celebrated, AzhvAr sang about the all supremeness in the

previous decade. After the all-supremeness is shown, the happiness

derived from the Lord's being together with the AzhvAr is expressed.

The AzhvAr looked for someone on this earth to enjoy this

happiness with, and did not find anyone here, and wonders when

he can go to paramapadam where the nityasUris always, incessantly

worship the Lord, and enjoy the happiness with them.

Oh mind! You should enjoy bhagavad guNa anubhavam with the devotees

of nammAzhvAr, who desired to be with the nityasUris and enjoy with

them the happiness of his togetherness with the Lord who showed

Himself to nammAzhvAr to remove his helplessness due to separation

from the Lord.
