I am enjoying this series, this is small and easy to understand for me, more

easy than the Mumukshupadi - Dwayam that was posted yesterday, which is good

but too detailed for today person. I will read that in detail during my

vacation time.

I have read yadruchikapadi posts completely, I have these doubts so far, i hope

to get answers to clarify these.

Sri Pilla Lokacharya has written :

For the person desiring liberation from the cycle of birth, whom the

spontaneous, voluntary, unexpected grace of the Lord has blessed with a

favourable mind towards Him, and has made the person surrender at the feet of a

true AchArya, it is necessary to constantly reflect upon the three sacred

verses. Of those

Q1 Does the grace come only on the ones desiring liberation

Q2 What do you mean by true Acharya

Q3 Why is it NECESSARY to reflect upon these verses, if you say his grace is spontaneous.

Thanking you all in advance,

Thanks for the good questions.

Please keep in mind that I translated yAdruchhcika-p-padi as it is,

and attempted NOT to add any explanations. I translated the

word "anusandhEyam" as "necessary to constantly reflect upon the

meaning of ".

Here is a detailed explanation:

There is no causal connection between this anusandhEyam and the

krupa. The grace is spontaneous, and causeless (yAdruchchika,

nirhEthuka krupa). So, it falls on all. For those on which it falls,

the desire for liberation occurs. For those, for whom the desire has

been caused by the spontaneous grace, it is necessary to constantly

reflect upon these verses. Is it necessary to reflect to get the

grace? - No. Is it necessary to reflect to be liberated? - the text

in yAdruchchikappadi does not say so. Then why is it necessary?

AchAryAs say that it is necessary for us to reflect so that we live

a fruitful life in accordance with how a mumukshu should live.

re: who a true AchArya is, the answer that elders give is that a

True AchArya is one who comes in the lineage of AchAryAs established

by Ramanuja and his successors, and who passes on the sampradAym as

taught by His AchAryA without ANY changes. This, of course is just

one of the many traits that a true AchArya has.
