Guest guest
Humble pranam to all devotees: Today is Kaisika Ekadasi,Devotees usually fast and listen to HIS glories. Every year this falls on Karthikai masam, Shukla paksha Ekadasi day.=============================================You can hear the Kaisika Puranam On-Line athttp://www.vedics.net for the next few days. It is in the the first page in the main window (to the left of the Lord) Audio is in the : Real Audio Format.=============================================This full incident is narrated by the LORD (Lord Varaha)to Bhoomi Piratti. This Puranam in the 48th chapter of Sri Varaha Puranam, explains and emphasizes the importance of singingLORD Sriman Narayana's glory. The main incindent is of Nambaduvan being confronted bya Brahma rakshasa. This Rakshasa used to be a Brahmin by the nameof Soma-Sharma. He committed some grave mistakes duringa Yagam and was cursed by which he became a Brahma rakshasa. On every Kaisika Dwadasi day, Nambaduvan, an ardent devoteeof the Lord used to sing for THE Lord at Thirukurungudi. One year while on the way to Thirukurungudi, Nambaduvan wasconfrontated by the Brahma Rakshasa. The dialogue between the two;(1)how the Rakshasa allows for Nambaduvan to go to sing for the LORD(2)then come back, for the Rakshasa (3)After coming back how Nabaduvan saved the Rakhasa from the curse.is detailed in this purana. After many thousands of years,On a Kaisika dwadasi day Sri Parasara Bhattar (about 900 yrs ago)chanted the Kaisiki Puranam before Lord Ranganatha(with his vyakhyanam (explanations). Lord was immensely pleased and this chantingas rendered by Sri Parasara bhattar is the tradition in Srirangam. To this day the direct descendants of Sri Parasara Bhattar Swami chant Kaisika Puranam on Kaisika dwadasi day to the LORD at Srirangam.=================================================Please inform/ forward your friends and familes.============================================= You can hear the Kaisika Puranam On-Line athttp://www.vedics.net for the next two days.
