The BJP leader demanded dissolution of the TTD Trust Board and consitution of the 'Dharma Parishad' (with mutt heads and other religious leaders as committee members) for administration of temple. The secular government should not interfere with the affairs of the temples, he said.Coming down heavily on TTD board members, he said they were not interested in the welfare of the visiting pilgrims. The board mostly comprised of political people who were paying more attention to their own interests, he claimed. On the Chief Minister's contention that the ropeway existed at Palani and Haridwar, he said at Tirumala there were seven hills each with its own history and hence, no comparison could be made.
