SRI UDAYAVAR KAINKARYA SABHA

Sri Udayavar (Ramanujar) Kainkarya Sabha has been forrmed 200 years

back and doing all the kainkaryam (Seva) as said above in a very

grand manner. All the above kainkaryams are done by way of collection

donations from the Devotees and general public. Sri Udayavar Kainkarya

Sabha, is doing yoman service of performing kainkarvam of Sri

Ramanujar enshrined in Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple of

Triplicane, Chennai from time immemorial. The following kainkaryams

are performed

 

1. Performing Sri Ramanuja's Avathara festival concluding on his

birth star i.e. Thiruvathirai for ten days in the month of chittirai

(April -May)

2. Conducting monthly Thiruvathirai thirunakshathrams (monthly birth

star of the saint)

3. Preparing and donating various valuable golden ornaments and other

paraphernalias to Lord Parthasarathy and Sri Ramanuja

4. This Sabha has donated golden prabhai for Garuda vahanam to Lord

Parthasarathy and golden pallakku toSri Ramanuja, whcih are still in use.

5. Thiruvabharanam set for Sri Ramanuja has been donated

6. Diamond studded Thirudhandam to Sri Ramanuja has been donated

7. Recent donation in April 2000 is Real Pearl (Nal Muthu)

Prabhannapagai

8. Velvet Pannagam (top cover ) for Golden Pallaku

9. Seelai (Art work in Cloth) , Umbrella and kalasam for

Thiruther(Car/Chariot) for the temple.

10. Svarna Muthaliyandan(Thiruvadi nilai) to Svami Ramanuja.

 

when submitting the thiruvadi nilai, sabha was notified about the 30

year old (kainkaryam by the sabha, then) daily used kavachams for both

moolavar and urchavar were out of shape and needed repair, The

sabha took this kainkaryam immedietely and started to collect funds

for this kainkaryam. the following were submitted to the temple after

they were done.

These were blessed by Sri Paramahamsethyathi Sri Vanamamalai Kaliyan

Jeeyar Svami, when they were out on display to the public before

Sri Udayavar wore these nuthana kavachams on the mandalabhishekam day

of sri Thelliya singar perumal who earlier had samprokshanam for

rajagopuram sannidhi etc. but adiyen got the book (malar and the audit

book) now so am posting this in the group now.

PS: When the Sabha submitted Muthaliyandan(thiru adi nilai) and the

Kavachams they released two beautiful souvenirs. One contains the

stotras by and on Udayavar(Ramanuja) , vaartha, history of svami, and

this sabha etc and another is "Vaibhava chitra malar" meaning udayavar

history in Pictures(containing pictures from udayavar history, like

Thiruput kuzhi sannidhi wheree udayavar leant under yadava prakasar

etc). Aasthikas who are interested in getting these can either email

adiyen or write to sabha directly. These two books are very

informative and is very good keep for a Srivaishnava.
