Jaya Guru Datta, Dear Devotees,

Parama Pujya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji arrived in Vijayawada

on Friday, 26th Jan 2001 at 12 noon. Upon arrival Sri Swamiji heard

about the devastating earthquake that rocked India in the mid-morning.

Later, Sri Swamiji zipped through the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh

visiting the temples in Gandigunta, Machilipatnam, Kaikaluru,

Manginapudi, Gudivada and stayed at Akividu that night.

On 27th Pujya Sri Swamiji visited Nuzivid and arrived at Eluru Ashrama.

Eluru has developed into an important Centre in India. On 31st Jan, Sri

Swamiji will be consecrating a Datta Temple along with deities of

Venugopala Swamy, Ganapati, Navagraha and Anjaneya Swamy in Eluru.

Pujya Sri Swamiji has called upon the Datta Devotees and other people

worldwide to help and support the affected people who have suffered in

the earthquake. We urge all devotees and others to send financial

support to Mysore Ashrama addressed to "Datta Peetha Trust", account No.

9, Canara Bank, Datta Peetham extension counter, Mysore. Even one dollar

counts. So please help liberally. Also please send old clothes and

blankets to Mysore Ashrama, so that these can be forwarded to the

affected areas. Please donate liberally. Sri Guru Datta.
