Guest guest
"In this world drama, whatever role may be assigned to us by the director, we should play that role faithfully and to the best of our ability and capacity, without entertaining such thoughts as this role is good or bad. There is no question of our likes or dislikes here. The 'director' knows best what role is suited to whom and allots them accordingly. In his view, all roles are equally important and they all contribute to the success of the drama in equal measure. In the same way, our roles in the world, with all their corresponding actions, by themselves, are neither good nor bad. Whatever actions have been decided for us by our samskaaras (culture) or vaasanaas (tendencies), are to be accepted and discharged without grumbling. If we grumble, it will only spoil our role-actions. Therefore, actions prompted or ordained by samskaaras should be performed willingly without any grievance and grudge."
