Guru Japam

Jaya Guru Datta,

Before Guru Purnima, an e-mail was sent out suggesting several types

of Guru japam on that day since Appaji was not coming to the USA. At

the end of japam, it was suggested that the following be said:

Yadhaashakti Guru Mantra Japena Bhagawaan Sarvaatmakah: Sarvam Shree

Sadguru Paadaarpanamastu .

Would it make sense to say this at the end of a round (108) of the

Guru Gayatri mantra?

I have been doing this, but I don't know what it means, so I am not

sure whether it is correct or not.

Sri Guru Datta,

Mahesh

I have a related question:

What is the meaning of the Guru Gayatri mantra, preferably word-by-word.

I'd be very grateful if someone could inform me. Even better if it was

posted on the dattapeetham web.

Jai Guru Datta
