Guest guest Posted August 15, 2001 Report Share Posted August 15, 2001 Jaya Guru Datta With the blessing of His Holiness Sri Swamiji, a team of Scholars led by Sri Ganti Ganesha Prasada Sarma Avadhani (Ashram Veda Scholar and Trustee) and others are conducting Pancha Koti Kunkumarchana (Fifty million chantings of Lalitha Sahasra Naama) in Vijayawada. This event started on Aug 11 and will continue upto Aug 22, 2001. Devotees from many parts of Andhra Pradesh are participating everyday in this program. As of Aug 14th nearly 1.2 Crores (12 million) of namarchana are done. Pancha Koti Kunkumarchana will conclude on Vinayaka Chaturthi day. The penultimate and final day programs will be conducted in the presence of Sri Bala Swamy at Vijayawada Ashram. Swarna Gowri Vratam will be done on Aug 21, 2001. Pancha Koti Kunkumarchana is being perfomed for speedy recovery of Our Beloved Sadguru Deva. This event also signifies first phase completion of Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple. In 1998, at the start of Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple, Koti Kunkumarchana ( One million chantings of Lalitha Sahasra Naama) was performed sucesfully. This was followed by Trikoti Kunkumarchana (Three million chantings of Lalitha Sahasra Naama) in 1999. Second phase is the Red Stone Tower (Gopuram) in the shape of Sumeru Chakram which is very unique in the entire world.
