Guest guest Posted September 10, 2001 Report Share Posted September 10, 2001 Jaya Guru Datta, The story of the dream of Sri G.S.Seetharam, with Swamiji giving Abhaya Hasta, left me wondering what Abhaya Hasta was. As I am sure I am not the only westerner who does not know this, I thought I would share what I found out. Abhaya Hasta is a mudra, or hand position, of protection. It is formed by having the hand face up, as if it is holding and protecting a small object. A picture is enclosed.
