Guest guest
Preamble: Swamiji, coming to the subject proper, asserts, that a Guru is not an ordinary person. Verse 7 Yo Guruh sa Shivah prokto yah Shivah sa Guruh smrutah / Vikalpam yasstu kurveeta sa bhavet paatakee Gurau // Shiva says Guru is Shiva and Shiva is Guru. This has been said in the Vedas, Smrithis and Epics. Those who ignore this truth and are prejudiced with a sense of discrimination are the gravest sinners. Here the term SHIVA indicates one of the Trinity of Godhead. It is called UPALAKSHAN (additional quality). It means that Guru is Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. This incidentally is the quality of DATTATREYA too and we should deduce it so. Some think that Guru is an ordinary human being as he eats and wanders like any other being. But it is wrong and sinful to do so. Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im.
