Verse 74

 

Gunaadhaaraaya gunine Gunavarjita roopine /

Janmine janma heenaaya Shivaaya Gurave namah //

 

Obeisance to Guru who is without birth and Shiva

Himself, the root of all attributes, who has

attributes and all the same free from all of

them, who takes birth but yet remains in the form of

soul, i.e., free from the cycle of births. Guru is

independent of birth, termination of birth, attributes

and termination of attributes. Births and deaths

take place at His will.
